Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Mildred Motes Voyles, age 80 of Monticello, Georgia (Formerly of Jefferson, Georgia) who entered rest Sunday, March 1, 2026. Mrs. Voyles was born in Gainesville, Georgia a daughter of the late Herman and Hazel Stover Motes. Mrs. Voyles was a homemaker and a member of Faith Tabernacle. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Voyles is preceded by her husband Harold Thomas Voyles, brother, Junior Motes and sisters, Betty Culver and Sadie Hubbard.
Mrs. Voyles enjoyed a very close relationship with her entire family. She was all about her family and shared her love openly with each child, grandchild, great grandchild and nieces and nephews. She was also loved in return by each.
Survivors include her children, Sheila Greene of Monticello, Johnny Dispain (Susan Voyles) of Otto, North Carolina. Dee Ledford (David Batchelor) of Haddock, Georgia, Cindy Williamson (Chet) of Franklin, North Carolina, Matt Dispain (Christine) of Jasper, Daryl Voyles of Jefferson and Jimmy Voyles of Jefferson. Ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Edward Westbrook and Clint Westbrook officiating with burial to follow in Jackson Memorial Park. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Clint Westbrook, Scott Dispain, Joey Dispain, Bailey Dispain, Zach Williamson and Kevin Voyles. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Evans Funeral Home.
